To our dismay, we have watched the damage that hurricane Sandy has inflicted across the eastern seaboard and beyond. Those communities hit particularly hard are located in New Jersey, Manhattan, Staten Island and Long Island.
In the aftermath of the storm, we can’t even comprehend what it’s like to lose a home, business or a loved one. And, we feel a great need to help these people put their lives back together.
As a company based in California, we are at a disadvantage to physically provide assistance. But, we can pool our resources so that we can help those in need to obtain shelter, meals, basic health care, emotional support and other emergency services.
What can you do to help? This November, we will donate 1% of our sales to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief program. That means, each time you purchase any VitaMedica product, one percent of that sale will go toward the Red Cross.
To help you out, this November we’re offering FREE ground shipping on all orders, regardless of order size. So, while you get rewarded for being healthy, we can help raise funds for the needy. Just enter in AMREDCROSS12 under the Shipping Method in the check-out process.
This donation will help the Red Cross mobilize resources to provide assistance in the weeks, even months that it takes for people to put their lives back together.
As we observe the Thanksgiving Day holiday later this month, now is a good time for those of us who are more fortunate to help those in need.
